 Welcome to the Stutsman County Memorial Museum<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Step into the rich and rugged past of Jamestown and Stutsman County at the Stutsman County Memorial Museum, located in the historic Lutz Mansion, built in 1907 by prominent local businessman George Lutz.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This beautifully preserved four-story mansion is an excellent example of Collegiate Gothic residential architecture from the early 1900s\u2014and today it houses one of North Dakota\u2019s most extensive collections of pioneer-era artifacts, memorabilia, and local history.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Explore exhibits on railroads, agriculture, military service, medicine, and early household life.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Don\u2019t miss our popular Front Porch Chats\u2014live presentations by historians and craftsmen every Sunday at 2 p.m. from early June through August.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We\u2019re also proud to be part of the Jamestown Talking Trails, with eight stations across our site.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Every summer, the museum invites the community to gather for our beloved\u00a0Front Porch Chats\u2014a Sunday afternoon tradition celebrating local history, stories, and culture.
Join us\u00a0each Sunday at 2:00 p.m.\u00a0on the museum\u2019s front porch to hear from a variety of engaging speakers who share their knowledge, memories, and experiences that bring our region\u2019s past to life.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
